Associate Production Planner

The Associate Production Planner is responsible for managing the end-to-end order process across multiple brand channels. This role ensures seamless article creation, purchase order (PO) management, issue resolution in collaboration with the offshore team, and on-order reporting and delivery tracking. The Associate Production Planner also serves as a key point of contact for tactical cross-functional communication and issue resolution with regional partners.

With time in the role, this individual will engage with supervisors and leadership on production status updates, issue resolution, and liability/dispute management. While some oversight from a supervisor is provided, the candidate should be able to autonomously prioritize and organize tasks once fully onboarded.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management

  • Initiate and maintain purchase orders (POs), including amendments and adjustments.
  • Oversee on-order reporting and monitor weekly OSR impact.
  • Track and maintain delivery schedules, including dye and cut dates.
  • Direct offshore COMs teams to input data into Mainframe and SAP.


Liabilities & Cancellations

  • Review and interpret liability reports, ensuring timely confirmations post-order placement.
  • Manage liability reporting and communicate risks to the brand.
  • Oversee commitment contract/raw material reconciliations and dispute case management.
  • Assess risks related to expiring liabilities and process order cancellations.
  • Maintain documentation for monthly MPC meetings.

Capacity & Production Planning

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of on-order commitments.
  • Track and report production commitments without POs.
  • Support CGL creation and maintenance.
  • Update order schedules and tracking documents for cross-functional alignment.
  • Input GNG dates in WIPS, attend weekly WIPS meetings, and facilitate discussions.
  • Manage order schedules, focusing on speed orders and escalation of immediate issues.
  • Monitor floorset reporting for late deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a related role, with at least one corporate internship preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Team & Department Overview

This role is part of the Production Team, supporting order processing, production oversight, and delivery management. The Associate Production Planner will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure production schedules are met efficiently.
