TITLE: Director of Distribution Operations (Groveport, OH)


DUTIES: Lead the planning and execution of transitioning operations from existing distribution centers to the third-party logistics provider (3PL). This includes overseeing the migration of physical inventory, transfer of technology systems, and integration of operational processes. Coordinate the testing and validation of newly implemented systems and processes to ensure they meet required specifications and operational efficiencies. Ensure all operational changes, system implementations, and procedures are documented in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor the initial performance of the 3PL operations post-transition, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with the 3PL provider to refine processes and increase efficiency. Oversee and monitor the day-to-day operations of the 3PL provider to ensure they meet the agreed performance metrics and service levels. Coordinate with the 3PL management to ensure seamless operations, including receiving, Quality Control, inventory management, Value Added Services, Returns Management, and order fulfillment. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the 3PL provider to ensure open communication and efficient resolution of operational issues. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the 3PL's performance, including turnaround times, cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment accuracy and all contractual SLA's. Work closely with the 3PL to implement continuous improvement initiatives and optimize operations for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards in the handling, storage, and transportation. Lead regular review meetings with the 3PL provider to discuss performance metrics, operational challenges, and future strategies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, procurement, and product teams, to align distribution strategies with overall business objectives. Provide strategic leadership and direction in the scaling and evolution of our logistics operations to accommodate business growth and changes in market demand. Prepare and present detailed reports on logistics performance to senior management, highlighting challenges, achievements, and strategic recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management. Must have 1 year experience Supply Chain Engineer with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) including the ability to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot these systems. End-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and transportation. Integrate and optimize various technologies within the supply chain for improved efficiency and visibility. Required data analysis tools and software like Excel, Tableau & Power-Bi, proficiency in programming languages like SQL, VBA, VB Script, App Script. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.

Hours: 40 hrs/wk, M-F
