We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented operations leader to serve as our Director of Operations and Finance. The Director of Operations and Finance will oversee and manage key operational and administrative functions, including HR, IT, Office Management, and Administration, while providing deep financial expertise to support the company's strategic goals. This position is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency and financial health at Bertec. Responsibilities

Strategic and People Leadership

  • Act as a direct manager for the operations group while setting an example for leadership within the organization.
  • Collaborate extensively across departments and with senior leadership to align operations with company strategy.
  • Drive process improvements across functions


Financial Oversight

  • Oversee financial planning, reporting, and budgeting processes for all departments.
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial reports and forecasts.
  • Manage Bertec's budgeting processes, including annual budget forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage cost control initiatives.


Human Resources Management

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the HR Administrative Specialist
  • Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies that align with company culture and goals.


IT and Systems Management

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the IT & Enterprise Software Specialist
  • Supervise IT infrastructure and ensure systems support operational needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships for IT solutions and services.


Office and Administrative Management

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Administrative Assistant and Office Manager(s).
  • Oversee office managers in LA, Columbus, and Ankara Turkey to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes for consistent operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in operations and financial management roles
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principals and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


Work Environment

Bertec allows a flexible work from home policy. New employees will typically work in office as they are trained and brought up to speed on their job as well as Bertec products and policies. After that point, work from home varies based on job function and responsibilities. In-office work will mainly be performed at Bertec's offices in Columbus, OH.
