Role Specifications · Assisting in the identification, and management, of High-Risk Activities at each stage of the projects including liaising with design teams, working with contractors in forward safety planning, and co-ordination of works activities. · Monitoring Microsoft's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessment and evaluation across all construction projects. · Reviewing, and assessing, the EHS implications of changes as they occur during construction projects. · Report, support, and evaluate the contractor's implementation of the Site-Specific Safety and High-Risk Activities Plan. · Actively engage with all aspects of day-to-day Health & Safety management o Attendance and participation in Meetings, as appropriate o Pull Planning or Collaborative Planning Meetings o Level 1-3 Planning Meetings, as appropriate o Training workshops o Daily Activity Briefings o Management reviews o Site Safety Committee Meetings o High Risk Activities Meetings o Planning and coordination review Meetings · Conduct independent EHS and HRA Audits on all aspects of construction management including: o Monitoring compliance between Health & Safety planning and actual work on site o Assessing compliance with agreed KPIs across all project stages o Communication regarding Health & Safety at all levels o Coordination of work activities on the sites o Identification, assessment, and evaluation of high-risk activities o Training and education o Review of safe plans of action, lifting plans, and other planning activities as appropriate. o Competency of contractors and operatives. o Assessment of accidents, incidents, & near misses, including the evaluation of findings, and monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive measures. · On-going assessment of the resources provided by contractors to enable implementation of the contractor's safety management program · Encouraging and promoting EHS initiatives aimed at influencing positive safety behavior and culture on the site. · Encouraging, and promoting, contractor participation in structured EHS recognition and wellness programs. · Reporting and supporting the Microsoft project management team regarding EHS.
Minimum Requirements · Minimum 10 years' experience in a role with formal qualification in EHS management with relevant experience in construction Health & Safety. · Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive experience in contractor communications, liaising with design teams, and other project professionals. · Degree and/or certification in Health & Safety profession. · Able to stand and walk for multiple hours while surveying the work environment. · Flexible work schedule with the understanding that at least 40 hours a week is expected on site, plus availability to work some weekends. · Good computer skills, with experience in EHS database programs. · Non-restrictive Driver's License and a vehicle to commute between multiple campuses in the area.
