Pipe/Mech General Foreman (No Per Diem)

Description:

The Brown and Root General Foreman reports directly the Brown and Root Site Manager Supervisor. The General Forman supervises area craftsmen, who are responsible for the identification and execution of corrective work. The General Forman is responsible for ensuring that all work is implemented using safe and precision work practices.

Responsibilities: Direct the daily work of the hourly craftspeople, Provide coaching and direction of the individual craftspeople, Ensure the craftspeople comply with safety, housekeeping, precision practices, and quality control work processes, Maintain clean, uncluttered, and organized maintenance facilities and areas where maintenance/ construction work is performed, Ensure productivity and efficiency of the crew, Ensure crafts people are trained and developed so they have the skills to perform the work.

-May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions typically require some independent judgment and decision making. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Will plan own work and delegate tasks to foremen/journeyman pipefitters in order to complete tasks in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Will typically report to a Site Manager.
