Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage large-scale healthcare projects in Columbus, Ohio. This position is crucial for on-site leadership, overseeing the daily operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, maintaining safety standards, and driving project success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing substantial healthcare construction projects for top general contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site activities for healthcare construction projects from start to finish.
• Manage daily field operations, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain quality standards.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and company safety policies to ensure a safe worksite.
• Monitor construction progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct regular site meetings to review project status, address concerns, and align team efforts.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare facility codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Document daily field activities, manage change orders, and report progress to project managers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with a strong emphasis on large-scale healthcare projects.
• Proven experience with a top-tier general contractor.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, codes, and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
