Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all sales within a delineated territory. This rolewill maintain an in-depth and thorough knowledge of their territory's marketplace conditions and will develop and implement strategies to assure an increase in market share, sales and drive profitable business plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESALL Responsible for overall sales performance and growth in Ohio
Direct supervision of growing the Ohio sales rep team
Work with the Director of Sales and GM to evaluate performance of team and implement strategies to ensure continued growth and success
Identify and develop new territories as needed
Regular travel throughout Ohio to work with the sales reps for key presentations, events, and customer support
Work closely with portfolio management to channel focus of sales team to core priorities
Work with the Director of Sales and GM to develop and execute successful programs
Help to plan, execute, and participate in market work, tastings, events, and dinners for visiting suppliers
Stay on top of marketplace trends and new openings
Build and grow key marketplace relationships
Help to positively and proactively resolve issues
Develop expertise of Skurnik's deep portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as a fundamental tool to establishing successful sales
Help lead monthly sales meetings
Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies
Perform other related duties as assigned by Upper Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must be Cleaveland or Columbus based
Prior sales and management experience working in wholesale distribution necessary
High level of expansive wine and spirits knowledge
Understanding of the Ohio wine & spirits marketplace and relevant competition
Network of industry relationships throughout the territory
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to self-start and work independently
Detail and solution-oriented, and ability to decisively problem-solve
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Must have a current driver's license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly
COMPENSATION:
$75,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience. Skurnik also offers a fine benefits package, including health, dental and 401K matching (eligibility timelines vary).
