Student Assistant - Non OSU

We are recruiting non-OSU students for a fall internship with the Facilities Operations unit with the potential to work through the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities:

* Just In Time inventory management

* Learn how inventory is tracked, par levels, order quantities, etc.

* Clean and audit janitorial closets (Lifting up to 50 pounds)

* When to order, how items are committed to orders, and how they are charged out once they have been delivered.

* Warehouse organization and layout functionality + change management - Receiving, Picking, and delivering of materials - Understanding inventory management systems and their role throughout processes.

* Learn how to update cell phones.

* Determine order quantities based on-hand inventory, past patterns, and future demand -

* For JCIP/ FOD Student Life to be able to provide these key learning points, basic functions (ordering, picking, delivering, and cycle counts) will be the basis of daily work.

Additional Information:

Must be enrolled in a university that is not OSU

Work a minimum of 15 hours per week

Hours can vary Mon-Fri between 7-4:30 (closed weekends)

Pay starts at $13/hr with the potential of making $14/hr within the first 90 days.

This position is for students not currently enrolled at The Ohio State University.
