Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the Inventory team and the integrity and accuracy of all inventory in the Distribution Center.This individual will be responsible for instructing and overseeing others around the cycle count process and coordinating all efforts surrounding maintaining inventory accuracy including a close partnership with the Operations Team on continuous improvement of warehouse practices.



Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and instruct others regarding the daily cycle count process and maintain total inventory variance below 1%.
  • Ability to cross train and take on additional leadership responsibilities within the DC
  • Have the flexibility to overlap shifts to provide training and coverage
  • Oversee inbound receivers and reconciliation process. Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, request adjustments and maintain accurate records
  • Responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, location accuracy, and maintaining FIFO of all products.
  • Maintain part number UOM, product put-a-way zones, and capacity management to maximize inventory consolidation
  • Responsible for responding to Quality Hold alerts and communication in a timely manner and QA hold tires are identified and handled correctly
  • Track and report mislabeled product to management in a timely manner
  • Responsible for creating and monitoring completion of inventory adjustment requests
  • Oversee put away of all return tires and paperwork completion
  • Ensures Compliance to all auditor expectations including yearly Physical Inventory facilitation.



Knowledge and Skills:
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proficient math skills
  • Knowledge of financial impacts of inventory management
  • Must be able to interact with other employees in a professional manner
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Ability to partner in a timely manner with corporate inventory team, external customers, and across the distribution network on crucial, time sensitive projects.
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job Spanish bi-lingual preferred.
  • Computer skills and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, including an intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • SAP WM experience is a plus
  • Experience in inventory control and understanding FIFO requirements
  • Have an understanding of container scheduling and freight shipping and receiving processes


Education and Experience:
  • High school degree required
  • 5+ years in supply chain or a distribution center environment
  • At least 3 years of inventory experience required


Physical Requirements:
  • Standing 2-4 hours a day
  • Lift 20-49 lbs occasionally
  • Computer use 6-8 hours a day
