**Facility Security Officer** Location **Columbus, OH** Requisition Number **3677** # of Openings **1** Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team in Columbus, OH. Infoscitex is an employee owned organization known for creating agile technology solutions across the U.S. Defense, Aerospace, Human Factors, and Security markets.

As a member of our security team, you will work closely with the Senior Management Official (SMO) to support the facility and employees on all security-related matters. You will also support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).

**Essential Job Functions:**

As a Facility Security Officer, you could expect to:

Conduct new hire orientations, briefings, debriefings, and security investigations.

Maintain employee, facility, and contract related security records.

Process SF-86s for initial clearance, periodic reinvestigations, continuous evaluation, and upgrades through Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) and update, monitor clearance status in Defense Information Security System (DISS) daily.

Oversee the day-to-day security administration, management, and operations for facilities consistent with regulations and guidance from the National Industrial Security System (NISS) Program.

Provide suitable physical security measures for the safeguarding of classified material.

Conduct periodic self-inspections of all security functions to ensure compliance at least twice per year and stay compliant with all new security guidance as required by DCSA or other relevant government organizations. Brief SMO and Vice President of Security of self-inspection findings. Upload self-inspection into NISS.

Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing visit requests as needed and oversight of classified meetings.

Serve as liaison for all security related questions and issues.

Provide assistance and guidance to employees seeking help on personal issues, especially those that might affect their clearance.

Investigate, prepare, and submit Incident Reports as required.

Investigate, prepare, and submit Security Violations Reports in accordance with corporate policy.

Prepare and participate in periodic DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency) audits.

Inform Vice President of Security of on-going security activities, problems, and potential issues.

Support the ISSM (Information System Security Manager) to ensure system accreditation and compliance.

Duties may also include general office and facility support.

Some intermittent short term travel may be required.

**Requirements:**

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least an Associate degree in science, engineering, security, or business administration related discipline and at least 5 years of related security experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: active Secret clearance.

Experience with DISS, NISS, and e-QIP.

Familiarity with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) procedures.

Strong focus on internal and external user and customer requirements.

Great attitude and willingness to learn.

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

Ability to work well in team environments.

An ideal candidate may bring the following attributes, although these are not firm requirements for consideration:

BS or MS in a science, engineering, security, or business administration related discipline.

Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Assessment and Authorization processes.

Certified in the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Course.

Ability to conduct periodic reporting activities to articulate project status to customers.

Ability to perform Project Management activities and collaborate with project leaders to prioritize efforts.

Ability to perform office administration duties as needed.
