**About The Role**

In the role of Lead Pilot Brewer, you will oversee the planning and execution of the day-to-day brewing operations for the 10bbl pilot system. This roll will be focused on product innovation, brand renovation, and supplying a wide range of high-quality beers to our taproom.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

* Executing trials for brand improvement/refinement, raw material assessment and research and development

* Recipe creation and brewing a wide range of beers to provide variety for our tap rooms

* Execute trails and brews, from raw material sourcing through wort production and cellaring

* Train team members rotating through Pilot brewing assignments

* Oversee equipment maintenance and readiness with help of our Engineering department, ensuring the pilot brewery is clean, organized, and ready to support system demands

* Drive continuous improvement within the pilot system as well as the 200hl production system

* Perform record keeping and basic quality testing and sampling

* Work closely with the Brewing Manager and Quality Manager

**About You**

* Minimum of 3 years brewing experience at large or small breweries, with at least one year of department management

* Organized

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* The ability to develop new ideas and receptiveness to the input of other stakeholders

* Self-aware and critical of ones products

* College education in STEM field and/or brewing education preferred but not required

* Adhere to all safety standards and requirements

* Ability to lift 65 pounds. Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and work close to the floor. At times, OT and weekend work may be required.

* MUST BE PASSIONITE ABOUT BEER AND DEDICATED TO CONTINOUSLY IMPROVING BREWDOG PRODUCTS, PRACTICES AND STANDARDS
