**YOU**

You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As a Painter, you will be responsible for loading and unloading of paint line products and materials and supporting the powder coat operators. This position is also responsible for quality inspections of products, checking mileage thickness on product and titrations of chemicals. This position is Monday through Thursday 2:30pm to 1am. **WHAT YOULL BE DOING** (% of Time)

Ensure the quality of paint coating through visual and test methods and the overall quality of parts painted through visual inspection. Check welded parts for porosity and missing or defective welds while painting. Follow sequence of schedule to ensure product is painted in correct order distributed to the next process. Follow safety guidelines and complete paperwork according to procedures defined. (75%)

Monitor and maintain wash system titration levels. (15%)

Train on other equipment and or processes within the production area to meet customer demands. Check chemical and adhesion tests as required. (10%)

**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

If you can do everything listed above, youve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

* Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck certification (will certify at hire) required.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

* 1 year related manufacturing experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and training within the powder coating industry.

* Mathematical Reasoning: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimal equivalents.

* Language: Ability to read and write simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to read, comprehend and interpret drawings.

* Speaking: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

* Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form and to solve problems involve both concrete and unknown variables.

* Measurements: Able to read a tape measure to 1/32 tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree.

* Problem Solving: Ability to identify options for solving a problem encountered during the manufacturing process.

**WORK STATUS & LOCATION**

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

**RELOCATION**

Relocation is not available for this position.
