The Parts Advisor is involved in virtually every aspect of the Parts department`s daily operation. Duties include the ordering, selling, preparing, delivering, shipping and receiving of inventory while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Ability to interpret vendor catalogs and materials. Knowledge in Parts Inventory Control/Invoicing Software preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and organizational skills. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees. Must be attentive and able to work under pressure.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend six to eight hours per shift moving throughout the parts department. S/he will climb ladders to get parts from shelves. May lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Must be well coordinated physically and able to stand for long periods of time. S/he will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands/arms to reach, handle, and feel and lay down, stretch, upward, downward, forward and backward. S/he will work closely with the service department and will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The employee may also be exposed to outside weather conditions.
