Responsible for the overall performance of defined market, including client service quality, balance sheet quality, profitability, growth, and risk management. Drive a consistent client experience that positions Truist as the Premier Advisory Bank in the Commercial segment (~$20-100MM in annual sales). Integrate all banking functions in the local markets, including retail teams and line of business partners. Directly manages a team of five or more Commercial Bankers. Columbus is the preferred location, with consideration for Cleveland and Cincinnati.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary sales leader for Commercial Bankers, ensuring effective execution of sales processes. Develop and execute marketing plans, grow relationships, and meet loan, deposit, and fee revenue goals.
  • Manage weekly sales activities, including calls, pipeline management, and team accountability.
  • Deliver a differentiated client experience using advisory tools and resources.
  • Develop new business relationships and increase market share of loans and non-credit services. Collaborate extensively with IRM partners.
  • Oversee the profitability, quality, liquidity, and growth of the team's commercial loan portfolios, including credit relationships and risk management.
  • Handle employment, training, performance, and staffing for the commercial team.
  • Lead community advisory activities and participate in civic and professional groups to solicit new business.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 12 years of banking experience
  • Ability to manage a team of at least one Market President Producer and five Relationship Managers
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of commercial credit, underwriting, and loan structuring
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Leadership ability and multitasking skills

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
